I read a quote the other day that went something like “Successful people tend to become more successful because they are always thinking about their successes”
I don’t know about you but I tend to be always thinking about my failures and about the things that go wrong for me, which does appear to be a lot of things, and I am quite pissed off with it.
I’ve decided to take the successful people’s route and see if it changes my life. I’ve used habitforge.com to help me to create a new habit of thinking about my successes for at least ten minutes everyday.
Don’t ask me why I chose ten minutes, I just did!
I only started a few days ago but so far I’m sticking to it. I tend to be very negative, probably partially through nurture, and partially through habit. I want my life to improve and I believe that with a better outlook it will.
We all know people who have a great outlook on life and things just seem better for them.
When I do take the time to think of my successes, and it’s not always easy, I have to admit it feels great. I feel so good inside and I get extra energy and excitement about my work and my life. This is different from the usual stress, exhaustion and pissed offness I feel! So it definitely seems like this is worth it.
At least I hope so anyway
We’ll see how it goes
